What then must we do?

Two years ago I was perusing a popular retail music downloading site and came across an album featured in their recommendations section that piqued my interest. It was the greatest hits album Forever Delayed by the Manic Street Preachers. I skimmed over the tracklist but none of the titles even sounded familiar. There was one track, named "Kevin Carter" that did for some reason send up a flag in my memory bank. I had not an inkling of what the song sounded like but I knew that name from somewhere.

A quick internet search of the title made it clear that in fact I had not heard this name before. If I had heard of this man, I would not need to search the internet to determine who he was. As I would soon learn, Kevin Carter was an Australian photojournalist who captured one of the most haunting images ever published in a major newspaper. Once I knew the basic outline of the tragedy, I spent the next week reading and thinking about the man who took his own life just as he was finding success in his chosen field. I don't know exactly what his story can teach us, I just know it has to be retold, passed on and contemplated.

My new iPhone blog

In addition to my postings here I have started a separate blog called "iPhone eVolution". I have such a love affair with this technological juggernaut that I had to devote an entire blog to glorifying it.

I will try to keep this as updated as possible. Now go check it out!

Great Ledders from Hedder #2

This is one of my favorites because it showcases the author's prodigous rhyming abilty. In fact, she is the only person I know that I can converse entirely in iambic pentameter. This is also the first letter I've featured that closes with one of Hedder's many great aliases.
